Sketchbook- Swan feathers.

tones in feathers2Still working at extending my drawing practice. It does seem to require such discipline, but it has reinforced for me how necessary it is in order see what is really in front of you. It has also made me reconsider things such as the use of negative spaces to help you in making a drawing. It has brought my attention to the importance of thinking about the lighting of a subject, and how a tree can look quite different 2 hours after you started a drawing, so you might have to consider how you might address this- is it a problem? Or do the changes become an integral part of the drawing reflecting the time it has taken to make? I have enjoyed spending time more focused on drawing.
